Wicomico county’s NAACP branch holds candidate forum

SALISBURY, Md. – Thursday, the Wicomico County Branch of the NAACP held a “Your Voice, Your Vote” forum.
Candidates for the State’s Attorney’s Office and the Wicomicio County Board Executive were invited to the public forum.
Running for State’s Attorney for Wicomico county are Republican candidate Jamie Dykes and Democratic candidate W. Seth Mitchell.
Candidates discussed topics including human trafficking as well as opioid abuse within the county.
Both candidates stressed the need for a trust-worthy and strong state’s attorney to best represent county residents.
Dykes cited her experience as interim states attorney to make her the best fit, while Mitchell explained his 30-plus years of experience working in law that make him best fit to serve the county.
Remember: Election Day is November 6th, so don’t forget to get out and vote to make your voice heard.
