Sussex Central continues win streak after shutting out Middletown

GEORGETOWN, Del.– Sussex Central defeated Middletown in a final score of 4-0 on Saturday.

Sussex Central struck first off a RBI single into left field by Takyla Davis. The Golden Knights would add to their lead in the 7th inning with a solo home-run by Mya Jones.

Madge Layfield pitched a complete game and it is the first time this the Cavaliers were held scoreless. Middletown’s loss to Sussex snaps their 7 game win streak. Sussex Central moves to 9-1 on the season while Middletown moves to 7-2.
