One killed in early-morning crash on Route 50

BERLIN, Md. – In Berlin, police are investigating an early morning crash that killed one person.

Police say just after midnight, Samuel Cornish was driving a stand-on electric scooter with no lights on Route 50 near Riddle Lane. Investigators say a Dodge charger was also driving on the road and hit the scooter from behind. We’re told Cornish died at the scene.

The cause of the crash now remains under investigation.
