Seaford hotel armed robbery under investigation

Police say they are looking for a suspect behind the armed robbery of a Seaford hotel, that happened early Friday morning.

According to the Seaford Police Department, at around 4:00 AM officers responded to the Days Inn located on Sussex Highway in Seaford, for reports of a robbery. Once on scene officials discovered an unknown male suspect had entered the hotel and displayed a box cutter demanding money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect reportedly fled the property on foot. Police say no injuries were reported in the incident.

According to reports the male suspects was about 6 feet tall and weights 180 to 200 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a green hooded jacket, blue jeans, work boots, and a white covering over his face.

The Seaford Police Department is investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in this incident.
