Two local schools teaming up to help the fight against breast cancer

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Two Delaware schools are coming together to host a volleyball game in honor of breast cancer awareness.

Sussex Technical High School and Delmarva Christian High School will team up to play two “Dig Pink” volleyball games on Tuesday, October 2nd, to help raise money for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and the Nanticoke Cancer Care Center in Seaford.

The junior varsity game is set to take place at 4 PM, with the varsity game following at 5 PM. Both games will take place at Sussex Technical High School, located at 17099 County Seat Highway in Georgetown.

Admission to this event is free. Funds will be raised through a basket raffle, bake sale, and silent auction. They will also be accepting donations.

According to Sussex Tech varsity volleyball coach Carlé King, last year’s game raised $1,500.
