UPDATE: Fatal motorcycle accident being investigated, victim identified

LINCOLN, Del. – Delaware State Police say an accident involving a motorcycle happened shortly before midnight Saturday on Cedar Creek Road in Lincoln.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Carlos R. Marin-Landa, of Millsboro. He reportedly slid off the road as he tried to make a turn around a curve, hitting a mailbox and ejecting him from his bike.

He was transported to Milford Memorial Hospital where he died.

Speed is being considered as a contributing factor in the crash, impairment is undetermined at this time.
