Drug investigation leads to two arrests in Delaware

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police have arrested two people on multiple drug charges after conducting an investigation.
Police say 42 year-old Ernest Washington and 31 year-old Teresa Bowers were in possession of cocaine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
At the 400 Block of East Water Street, police found a total of 405.2 grams of cocaine, 331.7 grams of marijuana, $2,211 in drug proceeds, after obtaining search warrants at the residence and at Saint Jones Mini-Storage at 666 South DuPont Highway in Dover.
According to police, search warrants were obtained after officers found Washington stopped in a vehicle in the area of Minima Street and West North Street.
Authorities say Washington, a “target in the investigation” had 4.8 grams of crack cocaine and 503. grams of marijuana in his possession after searching his vehicle.
On Friday, at 8:35 a.m. Washington and Bowers were taken into custody following the bust.
Police committed Washington to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $159,000 cash bond on the following criminal offenses:
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
- Possession of Marijuana
- Paraphernalia
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
- Possession of Marijuana
- Conspiracy in the 2nd Degree
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child
After police arrested Bowers, she was released on $78,750 unsecured bond on the following criminal offenses:
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
- Possession of Marijuana
- Paraphernalia
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
- Possession of Marijuana
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child
