Holiday deals gets many folks out to the stores. While Black Friday deals tends to be a familiar term around this time, locals are asking people to consider shopping during ‘Small Business Saturday’
The purpose of ‘Small Business Saturday’ is to designate a shopping holiday for small companies and help boost the local economy. Forbes Magazine reports there are 28 millions American small businesses, which account for 54 percent of all U.S. sales, and here locally, the City of Salisbury is looking to attract shoppers to its downtown area.
“You get those personal touches in a locally owned shop, and there is also the benefit in your community for shopping small.” says Laura Kordzikowski, the Business Development Specialist for the City of Salisbury.
