CR Grad Aleya Cummings Breaking Records At Welsey

From day one, Aleya Cummings has made her presence felt on the soccer field at Wesley College. As a freshman, the Caesar Rodney grad earned a starting job for the Wolverines, and quickly got her feet under her. And oh how the goals started to come.

Through 10 games of the season, Cummings has already recorded a team high 13 goals. The pace is more than just impressive for the school, as it also ranks Top 10 in the nation. But the ability to score has always come naturally for her, highlighted by her time as a Rider. During her senior year in high school, Cummings would put on a offensive display on her way to breaking the state record with 51 goals in one season.

The transition to the college game has been so seamless, that she is already starting to track down career records for the Wolverines. Cummings is now within 5 goals of the single season record, and her 13 career goals put her 13th on the schools All-Time scoring list.

Cummings will have a chance to continue to move up the leader board when Wesley returns to work on Saturday when they host Southern Virginia.
