Update: Man arrested, charged with rape of woman in Kent County

DOVER, Del. – The United States Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, as well as the First State Fugitive Task Force have arrested a man accused of raping a woman early Sunday morning, September 16.

According to police, 33-year-old Issac Pierce, knew the victim before he allegedly attacked her.

Police say the two were near a basketball court at Delaware Technical and Community College when Pierce assaulted the woman.

According to reports, Pierce forced her to drive to a parking lot where he engaged in sexual acts, strangled and threatened her.

Authorities arrested Pierce on Thursday, September 20th after he was found to be living out of his vehicle on a farm in Princess Anne County, Maryland.

Police say Pierce will remain in custody of Maryland state authorities until his pending extradition hearing.

The 33-year-old was wanted for rape in the first degree, kidnapping in the second degree, strangulation, assault in the second degree and terroristic threatening.
