Bayside North Puts On A Show In Annual Girls Soccer Senior All-Stars
The Bayside North girls soccer team lit up the scoreboard Tuesday night in the annual senior all-star match as they topped the Bayside South 8-2.
The North would take the early lead after a ball would bounce out of the box to Queen Anne’s Madison Ascione and she would fire a shot in near post. Three minutes later and Kent Island’s Brianna Millett would add one before the North would find the back of the net one more time to the push the lead to 3. The South then would finally respond after a hand ball in the box allowed them a penalty kick. Parkside’s Blair Vilov would step in for the shot and put it home for the score. The North wasn’t done scoring in the half just yet. They would get back to back scores in a two minute span from Kent Island’s Jen Azar as well as a break away goal from Savanna Corcoran. Vilov would be able to add another score in the second half to try and keep the South in it, but the North continued to push. They would score on two separate corner kicks, one from Cambridge SD’s Alyssa Swann and another from Kent Island’s Brooke Groves to put the match out of reach.
