Md. woman arrested on assault charges

SALISBURY, Md. – A local woman has been arrested and charged with assault.
On September 12th, at approximately 7:16 PM, a deputy responded to a report of an altercation at a residence located in the 1100 block of Nokomis Avenue. When the deputy arrived, they discovered that a subject, who was later identified as 23-year-old Keymia Jones, had become enraged when she could not find her wallet and as a result, she held a butcher knife to a male subject’s throat, demanding to know the location of her wallet.
Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. She has been charged with 1st degree assault and dangerous weapon. She was detained without bond in the Detention Center pending a District Court Bond review.
