Kids enjoy last day of summer
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Many kids hit the beach in Ocean City Monday with their families, enjoying their final day of summer vacation.
You may remember that Governor Larry Hogan signed an executive order to start school after Labor Day that went into effect just last year.
This allows Maryland families to visit their favorite beach town one last time before returning to school.
We spoke to some students about what they did to enjoy their last day.
Liv and Reese Ryan, visitors and students from Baltimore said, “Well we just went to boardwalk, the boardwalk and we went on a fun ride.”
William Carr, a Maryland student said, “Going to the beach, playing in the sand, waves and walking the boardwalk at Ocean City.”
For most Maryland schools, classes will be back in session starting September 4th.
