City of Salisbury Rehabilitation Grant application now open

SALISBURY, Md. – Mayor Jake Day has announced the opening of the 2021 funding round for the City of Salisbury Rehabilitation Grants for Commercial Building Improvements.

Applications are available starting today, December 14th, at the Finance Department – Grants Office located at 110 N. Division Street, Suite 107.

Funding for this grant program is being provided by the Community Legacy program of the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, and the total 2021 funding awarded to the City is $50,000. The maximum amount any single individual/business entity may request in this funding round is $20,000.

A mandatory Pre-Application Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 12th, from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. in Room 301 of the Government Office Building in Downtown Salisbury. All business owners interested in submitting an application for 2021 Community Legacy grant funds must attend this meeting, which will cover the application process, requirements of the funding program, and the timeline for obtaining the required project approval.

Completed funding applications must be received, not postmarked, by no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22nd. Applications will only be accepted for renovations to properties located within the Salisbury Downtown Historic District.
