One injured in early morning house fire in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man was sent to the hospital early Tuesday morning after suffering burns in a house fire.
We’re told the blaze was reported at around 12:20 a.m., at a home in the 200 block of Washington Street. A total of 55 firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire, which took roughly one hour to control.
State fire marshals responded to the scene to investigate the fire, determining that it began on the front porch of the home and was caused by discarded smoking materials. One occupant was taken to TidalHealth with non-life threatening burns.
Total damage has been estimated at $80,000.
