Bountiful Homes gets in the holiday spirit by giving back

EASTON, Md. – Bountiful Homes, an interior and home furnishing store, is getting in the holiday spirit.

But they aren’t just gearing up for Christmas – they’re also lending a helping hand to the community. We’re told owner Jamie Merida and his team give back to the community quite often, but on Sunday they finished off their holiday weekend kick-off with a fundraiser to support the Talbot Hospice Center.

“Anybody who’s experienced it, and I’ve experienced it twice, know that those people do amazing work,” says Mary Chambers, a sales associate speaking on behalf of the store.

Their fundraiser for Talbot Hospice is the biggest event of the year, with 20% of the sales going towards Talbot Hospice.

“It’s kind of like the Macy’s thanksgiving day parade of bountiful like we start planning for this in January,” says Chambers.

Bountiful Homes gives community members a chance to not only design their homes but give back. We’re told with COVID-19, the store wasn’t sure what to expect, but the weekend exceeded their expectations.

“We are blown away by the generosity and support of our community,” says Chambers.

Chambers tells us, it wouldn’t have been made possible without the help of Merida’s amazing team.

“Without them and the rest of the bountiful team, this is really a team effort like I said, we all put in hard work to make it look as pretty as it does.”

More importantly, we’re told these efforts don’t compare to the work they’re doing with the hospice center. One customer even tells us, “Jamie Merida and his team do the most wonderful works in the community, and it’s touching to see them constantly support the hospice center.”

Chambers says she’s seen how helpful hospice can be firsthand.

“Even as they approach their end-of-life situation, they are true angels in their job and it is a true calling and we’re so happy to benefit that work.” She adds, all though the turn-out was great, just bringing attention to the selfless work they do there is what she loves most. “It’s been a rough year on all of us and maybe we just make a little part of their holiday season a little more festive,” says Chambers.

We’re also told, the store is preparing for their gift-giving fundraiser where they give presents to shelters for Christmas.
