Kids get hands on at 8th annual Children’s Day at the Bay

Children's Day on the Bay was a family-friendly event, hosted by the Ocean City Life-saving Station Museum.
Sunday's event had kids of all ages to learn about local marine life through hands-on fun and educational demonstrations. Kids also got to play games and get a little crafty.
The Day on the Bay featured all kinds of characters from mermaids to aquatic creatures. Even a few feathered friends paid a visit.
Some people we spoke to tell us today's event is not only great family fun, but also important to preserving local wildlife.
Arlo Hemphill an Ocean City visitor said, "We're big fans of the oceans and the coastal bays and we wanna keep them healthy and we wanna learn more about plants and sea life."
The event was sponsored by the Ocean City Development Corporation. They work with local businesses and organizations to bring the Ocean City community together and "foster a safe and attractive environment" in downtown Ocean City.
