Indian River School District now accepting school choice applications for 2022-23 school year
SELBYVILLE, Del. – The Indian River School District will utilize the Data Service Center’s web-based Delaware Public and Charter School Choice Application for the 2022-23 school year.
The 2022-23 school choice application period opened at 8 a.m. Monday will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on January 12, 2022. The district says it will decide on all applications for grades 1 through 12 by February 28, 2022. Parents will then have until March 19, 2022 to accept or decline a school’s invitation. Decisions on kindergarten applications will be made in May 2022.
Please note that kindergarteners must be registered with his/her home school before school choice applications will be considered.
The system will also designate district schools that are anticipated to have openings for 2022-2023. Schools that are at capacity will be labeled as such, however, parents will still be allowed to submit applications for “At Capacity” schools. We’re told these applications may be placed on a waitlist or denied due to capacity.
Parents will receive an email confirmation once their application has been submitted. Applications may be reviewed, edited, or withdrawn at any time prior to the January 12, 2022 deadline with the use of the established username and password.
The online application can be found here.
