UPDATE: Delaware State Police say 9 year old is in critical condition after a hit and run

According to State Troopers, a nine year old girl is in critical condition after a hit and run.

On Thursday, investigators say the child was heading back to her home on German Road, after checking the mailbox, when a 2002 white Mazda Potege hit her and continued driving.

The nine year old was taken to a A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.

Upon further investigation, troopers found the Mazada and arrested the owner, a 21 year old man from Seaford.

No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian that occurred just after 5:00 PM in Seaford.

Police say that German Road between Old Furnace Road and Concord Pond Road is now closed.
