Local humane society in desperate need of wet dog food

In Wicomico County, there's some furry friends that could use your help. The Wicomico County Humane Society is in desperate need of wet dog food.

Executive Director Aaron Balsamo says every now and then they get low on supplies and need the community's help.

Most of the wet food goes to dogs with dental issues, some even with no teeth at all because it's all they can eat, but it's also for those in the community that might not be able to afford it themselves.

"If there's someone that you know they're going through a rough spot and they might need to surrender their dog just because they don't have any food then we operate a food pantry so that we can try and keep the pet in the home," explains Balsamo.

There's no specific brand or flavor they're looking for just anything would help. If you're looking to donate you can drop off or mail the food to the Wicomico Humane Society.
