TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopedic Institute Grand Opening in Seaford

SEAFORD, Del.– The state-of-the-art facility is part of the ongoing revitalization of the former Nylon Capital Shopping center, a 22-acre redevelopment on Stein Highway on Seaford designed to bring healthcare and education opportunities.

President of TidalHealth Penny Short says she is excited to see new life being brought back to the Seaford community.

“I think even more importantly, it is really showing the state and Sussex County that Seaford is back,” Short said. “The revitalization, the re-imagining of what this could be is so impressive. Not only is TidalHealth here but so is Del-Tech and other businesses are investing in Seaford.”

For Dr. William Doran he says that having quality care close to where his patients live is a game changer when it comes to their recovery.

“One of the most meaningful advances that we can make for our patients is simply providing excellent care close to where people live,” Doran said. “That is what this facility allows us to do. For someone experiencing joint pain, recovering from an injury or simply struggling to do things that they love to do.”

Not only will the new clinic allow physicians to deliver high quality care to their patients it will also allow aspiring health care professionals to gain experience.

“We work with Del-Tech all the time,” Short said. “The classes and courses they have and now a facility right next to them can help with some of that professional training.”

Officials say the goal is simple getting from diagnosis to treatment and recovery without having to travel far from home.
