Easton Man Indicted for Possessing, Transporting Child Sex Abuse Material

EASTON, Md. – An Easton man has been indicted on federal charges in connection with the production, possession, and transportation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of Maryland, 34-year-old Charles Mark Wooters is charged with sexual exploitation of a child, transportation of CSAM, receipt of CSAM, and five counts of possession of CSAM.

According to the indictment, in Nov. 2025, Wooters allegedly uploaded more than two dozen CSAM files, depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, to an internet-based file storage account. Law enforcement found that Wooters possessed CSAM files on multiple electronic devices, in addition to an internet-based cloud storage account associated with his email address.

U.S. Attorney Kelly Hayes commended both the Easton Police Department and the FBI Baltimore Field Office for their collaborative investigation into this case.

If convicted, Wooters faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison for sexually exploiting a minor, and a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years for transporting CSAM. He would also face a minimum of five years for receipt of CSAM, along with a maximum of 10 years for each count of possessing CSAM.
