OCEAN PINES, Md.- The ribbon has officially been cut for the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore’s new office in Worcester County.

Erica Joseph is the President of CFES, and discussed how this Ocean Pines office, aligns with the non-profits mission.

“The Community Foundation has been serving Worcester County for over 40 years.” Said Joseph. “It’s part of our heart. It’s part of our mission. And so we see this as the first step of just continuing broadening and enhancing our work here and our impact together with the people in Worcester County.”

The new Ocean Pines office kept their doors open after hours, so that members of the community could check out the new space, and learn more about the mission of CFES, to support local non-profits that uplift the lives of those on the Eastern Shore.

Many leaders from Worcester County organizations that had been supported by the work of the Community Foundation, were at the event to celebrate.

“All of these organizations, all of these folks, they’re working really valuable missions.” Said Joseph. “They have long days, hard days. The fall is a very busy time. And to have them show up for us in a way that just, you know, reinforces the partnership that we have and the collaboration that we do in the community.”

Worcester County Chamber of Commerce President, Amity Aldrich, welcomed the Community Foundation to the chamber, and hopes to continue to support their overall mission.

“We’re so excited to have all the leaders, movers and shakers in one area.” Said Aldrich. “Specifically at this event, but at a lot of our ribbon cuttings and business after hours, we encourage anybody in the community to come out and talk to us.”
