Bridgeville’s Apple Scrapple Festival kicks off

BRIDGEVILLE, Del.– Bridgeville’s beloved Apple Scrapple festival kicked off on October 9th. The event started at 4 pm on Friday and wraps up on Saturday October 10th.

This year marks the 34th year that thr festival has returned to Sussex County.

There’s tons to enjoy this year for people of all ages– with a food court, carnival rides, live entertainment, and much more.

Officials say all that fun plays a role in supporting the Bridgeville community.

“Well the Apple Scrapple festival is really a large fundraiser,”Johnson-Kemp said. “What it does is it brings revenue into many of the civic organizations, nonprofits, and churches. We do this for everyone else so that they can make a profit and we encourage everyone to join us.”
