Book Lovers, Head to Berlin: Calvin B. Taylor House To Host Book Festival

BERLIN, Md.- The Calvin B. Taylor House Museum is hosting a book festival on Saturday, Oct. 17th, from 11am to 3pm.

Local bookstores will be in attendance, as well as local and regional publishers and authors sharing their work.

Dr. Melissa Reid is the Executive Director for the museum, and emphasized why she thought a book festival would be a good fit for Berlin.

“The book festival is taking place tomorrow.” Said Reid. “It’s really exciting. We have a partnership we do with Salt Water Media, which is a local publishing company right here, located in Berlin. And we’ve been thinking about over the years, we’re always thinking about the best ways to tell the stories of Berlin, which has been the mission statement of the Taylor House. And we knew that Berlin didn’t have a book festival.”

Between the Book Festival and Oktoberfest,  both occurring on Saturday, the town of Berlin is the place to be this weekend for book and beer lovers.
