Blood Bank of Delmarva hosts Seaford blood drive
SEAFORD, Del.– The Blood Bank of Delmarva hosted a blood drive on Thursday in Seaford.
The Blood Bank partnered with TidalHealth Nanticoke for the event using their mobile blood donation bus.
The nonprofit provides lifesaving blood products to over 30 hospitals across the peninsula.
The drive wrapped up at 2:30 PM today– but officials say its never too late to save a life.
“It is not painful as many people say, the actual phlebotomy only takes about 5-10 minutes,” Bustos said. “So it is nothing to worry about, you get free snacks at the end and it’s a nice little time to save some lives.”
