Worcester County Appoints New Deputy Director of Development Review and Permitting

SNOW HILL, Md. – Worcester County is adding a new member to their team ahead of the upcoming comprehensive plan review. The Worcester County Commissioners have appointed Seth Reid as its new Deputy Director of Development Review and Permitting.

Reid stated that he is ready to jump in where he can as he learns the processes of the county.

“That’s kind of where we’re going to start from there.” Said Reid. “We’ll be able to work more readily with the the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Planning Commission, all of those to make sure that our long term comprehensive plan, is taken care of.”

Reid previously served as planning and permitting ombudsman in Fredrick County, Md.

This new role assists the Worcester County director of DRP in zoning, planning, and permitting for the county’s comprehensive plan. The public is invited to share their feedback and help shape the county’s comprehensive plan at a public hearing on Oct. 6th.
