VSP Investigates Fatal Bicycle-Car Crash in Accomack Co.

ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. – The Virginia State Police are investigating a car crash that claimed the life of a cyclist on Friday morning.

Just before noon on Sept. 18, VSP responded to a fatal crash that occurred on southbound Route 13, at Wachapreague Road, in Accomack County.

According to the preliminary investigation, 49-year-old Shirome Dwayne Davis, of Temperanceville, was riding a bicycle on westbound Wachapreague Road when it collided with the side of a gray 2011 Ford F-150. Police say Davis sustained a fatal injury and his next of kin has been notified. No further details have been provided at this time.
