UPDATE: Oceans Calling Cancels Festival Amidst Brewing Nor’easter

UPDATE: Oceans Calling organizers have announced the decision to cancel this weekend’s festival in accordance with advice from the National Weather Service.
“Tides, floods, and high winds have prevented us from safely continuing the build of Oceans Calling Festival,” a statement read on social media. “Following the advice of the National Weather Service and in cooperation with local public officials, we must make the difficult decision to cancel Oceans Calling 2026.”
All ticket types purchased directly through Front Gate Tickets will be fully and automatically refunded in as little as 30 days to the original method of payment.
The cancelation comes amidst a potential nor’easter currently developing off the coast of Delmarva. Impacts from the storm are forecasted to include rain showers, high winds, dangerous surf, and continued coastal flooding concerns.
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Festival organizers for Oceans Calling have announced the cancelation of Friday’s portion of their three-day music festival following inclement weather.
In a message posted to social media, organizers said that despite extraordinary efforts, weather conditions and subsequent beach erosion has made it impossible to safely complete stage building in time for Friday. As a result, performances for the first day of the festival have been canceled.
“Friday will not move forward as planned. The safety of our fans, artists, crew, and community must come first,” the post read.
Organizers said 1-Day Friday Tickets and 33% of 3-Day Tickets purchased directly through Front Gate Tickets will be automatically refunded in as little as 30 days to the original method of payment. A similar process was followed when the festival was canceled for inclement weather in 2022.
Friday’s performances were slated to include Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & the Blowfish, Ludacris, and others. Festival attendees should continue to visit Oceans Calling’s social media and website for updates.
