Secretary Gears up for Warwick River Fest

(SECRETARY, Md) – Labor Day Weekend promises some family fun and friendly competition in Dorchester County.

The Town of Secretary is hosting their 4th annual Warwick Riverfest and Raft Races this weekend.

Taking place on the namesake Warwick river, the competition will see a Jon-Boat Docking competition with raft races to follow.

The festival kicks off Saturday with an America 250 parade with vendors, carnival games, and more.

And organizers say its all about keeping river traditions alive for the next generation.

“This year we’ve added a lot of fun. So we have carnival games for the kids. We are having a foam party that will happen the whole day. Throughout Riverfest. We’ll have a water slide, multiple vendors food and drinks for everybody. And it’s just a fun day. You know, family, community,” says organizer, Elizabeth Wielgosz.

The fun begins on Sunday, September 6th at 11 A.M in Secretary.
