OCFD Welcomes Students Back to School

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Tonight’s Good News is brought to you in part by Matt the Carpet Guy, coming out of the Ocean City Fire Department.

Crews helped kick off the new school year on Monday morning by welcoming more than 700 students back to Ocean City Elementary School. Fire department personnel greeted students as they arrived, offering waves, smiles and encouragement for a successful year ahead.

Chief Bunting also gave families their first homework assignment of the year: Choose a family meeting place outside your home in case of a fire. Every member of the household should know where to meet after getting outside so firefighters can quickly confirm everyone is safe.
