National Child Passenger Safety Week

MIDDLETOWN, Del.– This weeks marks National child passenger safety week. The Delaware office of highway safety is helping parents and guardians keep their young ones safe on the road.

The department is reminding parents and caregivers to make sure car seats are properly installed and offering help to those who aren’t sure by hosting free car seat checks.

The next event is this Saturday, September 26th at Christiana Care Middletown Campus from 10 am until 1:00 pm.

Child passenger safety technician Aubrey Klick says it’s always a good idea to double check that your child is completely safe while your out on the road.

“So even if you think your car seat is 100% correct, it never hurts to get it checked because then we can absolutely tell you for sure,” Klick said. “So please it only takes you know twenty to thirty minutes of your time to make sure your kiddos are riding as safe as possible.”
