Milton Man Indicted on Federal Drug Trafficking, Firearms Charges
MILFORD, Del. – A Milton man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to cocaine trafficking.
On Sept. 10, 35-year-old David Harmon was indicted on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. On Thursday, Sept. 24, Harmon was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty. He is being detained pending trial.
If convicted, Harmon faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison, and a maximum penalty of life in prison.
According to court documents, Harmon possessed with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine, on or about May 27, and unlawfully possessed a loaded handgun and ammunition in furtherance of that drug trafficking offense.

As WMDT previously reported, Harmon was arrested in May by the Milford Police Department after they say he committed two separate theft incidents. During the arrest, detectives located suspected powder cocaine and heroin on Harmon. A search warrant was executed at his residence, resulting in the seizure of the following items:
- Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun
- 49.3 grams of suspected crack cocaine
- Prescription medication
- Drug paraphernalia
Police later confirmed the handgun to be stolen.
