(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The Ironman is bringing thousands to Cambridge and Dorchester County, and that means it’s a large boom for the local economy.

With more than 1600 people staying in the Cambridge area, local businesses are getting a shot in the arm as visitors spend their money in the heart pf Dorchester.

And the coutny Chamber of Commerce is excited to see even more racers this year spending money in the community.

“Everyone really goes all out. I mean, you know, folks make their houses available to the athletes, to their families. You know, we do everything we can to make sure to that. They feel, they’re coming into a hospitable area,” says Dorchester County Chamber President, Alessandro Nardi.
