Discover Delmarva Arts: Wor-Wic Community College Fall Festival

SALISBURY, Md. — Wor-Wic Community College is saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall in style this week for its annual Fall Festival — where art, education, and family-friendly fun all come together. Organizers say it’s a celebration of the arts, community, and connections — with art exhibits, performances, and workshops.

“We’re going to have an artist marketplace inside The Hazel Center. Different vendors and artists will be displaying and selling their various works of art. We have everything from textiles, to lace, photography, portraits and metal work. . . Then you can see some of the great artistic production and businesses that we have here on the Lower Eastern Shore,” Associate Professor of Spanish and English David Mongor said.

This year’s festivities are leaving a mark on the school’s campus; Wor-Wic is creating a community mural with the help of founder of We Are Limitless Studios Brandon Bell — inviting the community to come out and help create a piece of Wor-Wic history.

“It will bring lots of color to our campus, and I know that the students are extremely excited about that as well. . . It’s bringing culture to Wor-Wic, and I think that’s something that we’ve been excited about for such a long time,” Student Engagement and Belonging Coordinator Ashlee Laughlin said.

With performances, vendors, and opportunities to participate in workshops with local artists like Robby, the Chin Eastern Shore Gyotaku, Fall Festival is sure to kick off the season right.

“It’s a great way to connect with other members of the community,” Mongor said.
