Delaware Office of Volunteerism Gives Out Thousands of Books
(DOVER, Del) – The Delaware Office of Volunteerism is honoring the memory of those lost in the September 11th attacks by donating to schools across the state.
Thousands of books are being sent out across the three Delaware counties as part of the Office of Volunteerism’s 9/11 Day of Service.
The original goal was three thousand books being sent out for the entire state.
The office is givng out nine thousand.
“We’re doing the same thing in New Castle County and Sussex County as well. So for a statewide program, the state also volunteerism, it really meant a lot to be able to expand the program so that we can really make an impact in all three counties,” says Office of Volunteerism Senior Administrator, John Sullivan.
