Charlie Paparella Smells the Sunflowers
DELMARVA – In this week’s edition of Back on the Road with Charlie Paparella, brought to you by Furniture & More Gone Coastal, Charlie visits a sunflower patch, marking the last hurrah of summer.
Charlie says he finds sunflowers to be beautiful, describing them as a sentinel of the future and a bird’s food for the upcoming season. Millions are grown across the peninsula for commercial sale, but many fields find themselves in the background of photos for wedding pictures and other special occasions.
“But is the symbolism of these smiling faces in the sun that I find inspiring each fall season when I see these beautiful golden fields,” Charlie says. “They are, to me, the picture of democracy.”
