UPDATE: DSP Arrest Suspect in WSFS Bank Robbery

UPDATE: Delaware State Police arrested a suspect in connection to the robbery of the WSFS Bank in Rehoboth Beach.

Troopers arrested 26-year-old Demetrius Frith-Thompson of Milford, on charges of second-degree robbery and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. Reports say that Frith-Thompson turned himself in to authorities, was arraigned and released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate a bank robbery that occurred Saturday morning in Rehoboth Beach.

Detectives have identified 26-year-old Demetrius Frith-Thompson,of Milford, as the suspected bank robber and have obtained a warrant for his arrest. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

On Aug. 29, around 9:50 a.m., troopers responded to the WSFS Bank, located on Coastal Highway, for a reported robbery. A preliminary investigation revealed an unknown suspect entered the bank and gave the employee a demand note. The employee complied, and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say no weapon was involved and no injury was reported.

Police originally described the suspect as a thin Black male in his twenties, who was dressed like a female while wearing tight clothing and a wig. Detectives are providing images and are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.

Detectives are asking anyone who has information as to the whereabouts of Frith-Thompson to call 9-1-1 or DSP Troop 4 at (302)-856-5850.
