UPDATE: One Airlifted, One Killed in Snow Hill Freightliner Crash

UPDATE: Maryland State Police (MSP) are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 21-year-old man on Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 2, troopers from the MSP Berlin Barrack responded to Snow Hill Road at St. Lukes Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash. According to a preliminary investigation, a Nissan Maxima was traveling northbound on Snow Hill Road, when, for unknown reasons, crossed into the southbound lanes, where it struck a Freightliner box truck, causing the truck to rollover.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 21-year-old Nijee Williams-Seck, of Virginia Beach, was pronounced deceased on the scene by emergency medical services personnel. A passenger in the Nissan, a 17-year-old female, was flown to a local trauma center. The driver of the box truck, a 36-year-old male, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
All lanes remain closed for the crash investigation, and were reopened around 4:00 p.m., according to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office. The MSP Crash Team is leading the active and ongoing investigation.

SNOW HILL, Md. – The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is alerting motorists to a road closure after a motor vehicle crash resulted in an overturned semi-truck.
Around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the department said Snow Hill Road (Route 12) was closed in both directions, between Nassawango Church Road and St. Lukes Road, due to a motor vehicle crash. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
At 11:20 a.m., the Salisbury Fire Department said they were in the process of assisting the Snow Hill and Fruitland Volunteer Fire Companies with the crash, sharing photos of the scene.
Details about the crash are limited at this time, but Maryland State Police are reportedly investigating the accident.
