UPDATE: Princess Anne Police Arrest One in Connection with Karemore Pharmacy Lot Shooting
UPDATE: The Princess Anne Police Department (PAPD) has made an arrest in connection with a shooting that injured one in the parking lot of Karemore Pharmacy.
On Tuesday, Aug. 11, members of the PAPD Criminal Investigations Unit, assisted by members of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office S.T.A.R. Team, executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence within the Pine Knoll Apartment Complex. The warrant was secured as part of the continuing investigation into the shooting that occurred on Jul. 21.
During the search, investigators recovered evidence believed to corroborate information developed during their investigation, including a 3D printer believed to have been utilized in the manufacture of firearms and/or firearm components.
As a result of the investigation and evidence obtained, 20-year-old Ilijah Sincere De John Wilson was arrested and remains in custody.
“This arrest reflects the determination of our investigators and the value of strong partnerships with our allied law enforcement agencies,” said PAPD Chief Robert Smith. “Gun violence has no place in Princess Anne. We will continue using every lawful investigative resource available to identify those responsible for violent crime, remove illegal firearms from our streets, and protect the people of this community.”
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Princess Anne Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured one person on Tuesday afternoon.
On Jul. 21, just before 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of The Reserves on Hickory Road for a report of a subject suffering from a gunshot wound. A preliminary investigation determined that the shooting occurred in the parking lot of Karemore Pharmacy, where an unknown male fired multiple shots at an occupied vehicle before fleeing the area.
The victim inside of the vehicle was transported for medical treatment, and is currently reported to be in stable condition.
