Society of St. Andrew Gleans 2,000 Pounds of Cantaloupe
SEAFORD, Del. – Tonight’s Good News is brought to you in part by Matt the Carpet Guy, coming out of a Seaford farm.
The Society of St. Andrew Delmarva gleaned over two thousand pounds of fresh cantaloupe on Monday morning. This local favorite was the immediately sent out to hunger relief agencies all over the Shore, and led to 75 families taking home fresh fruit.
This organization is always working to serve others, and always looking for more help in the fight to keep Delmarva’s communities well fed. Check out WMDT’s coverage of their previous gleaning events in Laurel and Hurlock.
Thank you to Society of St. Andrew Delmarva and all of their hard work!
