Millsboro Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash
MILLSBORO, Del. – The Millsboro Police Department is investigating a pedestrian crash that claimed the life of a 45-year-old man on Monday night.
At 11:16 p.m. on Aug. 3, police say a pedestrian was positioned in the left travel lane of southbound DuPont Highway. At the same time, a Jeep Cherokee was traveling southbound in the same lane. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead upon being transported to a local hospital. His identity has not been revealed at this time.
The roadway was closed for approximately three hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
