Celebrate Your Canine Companions on National Dog Day

BERLIN, Md. – Furry friends tend to brighten up every day, but on August 26th, make sure to show canines some extra love, as dog lovers everywhere celebrate National Dog Day.

Worcester County Humane Society has a non-kill animal shelter based in Berlin, and has a plethora of available dogs for those looking for their own furry friend. A variety of their dogs will be on site and available for adoption at “Dog Adoption Night” at Ocean Downs Casino on August 26th from 5:30-8:30.

If you aren’t quite ready to welcome a new pet into your life, you can still support animals by shopping at the Worcester County Humane Society Thrift Store!

Mary Martinez helped to create the store, and explained how the operations help animals in need.

“Everything is donated to our store.” Said Martinez.  “And all proceeds help support the day to day operations for the shelter.”

Whether it’s giving them a pupcup, or supporting dogs in need, make sure to show your canine companion all your love for National Dog Day.
