Car Crashes Into Chincoteague Funeral Home

CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. – The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company (CVFV) responded to a car that crashed into a funeral home on Friday morning.

At 10:10 a.m. on Aug. 28, crews were alerted to a crash with unknown injuries in the area of Church and Willow Streets. CVFC says a vehicle making a turn collided with the front of Salyer Funeral Home. It is unclear whether anyone was injured in the accident.

Once units were on scene, and the vehicle was found to pose no immediate danger to the building, crews worked diligently to move the car by hand and began cleanup of the crash. Additionally, crews worked to manage an electrical hazard before clearing the scene.
