Shore United Bank Hosts School Supply Drive
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.– The Shore United Bank in Rehoboth has been collecting schools supplies throughout the month of August.
Operations Manager Kathleen Hansen says that she hopes the school supply drives helps make the transition back to school less stressful.
“Well, we hope that they will help the students be ready to learn when they go back to school,” Hansen said. “I hope it will encourage them and easy any financial burdens on some of the families.”
Over twenty backpacks filled with school supplies were donated in August filled with a variety of items including crayons, notebooks, and other essential back to school items. Branch Manager Myndi Verderame shares that the school supply drive was a hit with their community.
“The community has been incredibly generous,” Verderame said” “It’s so inspiring to see the community come out to support our local families in the way that they did.”
As the new school year begins and students are heading back to the classroom Verderame says she hopes that schools supplies will help them be prepared for anything the school year throws at them.
“We hope that the school supplies help the students feel confident and prepare for the school year ahead,” Verderame said.
The school supply drive is a simple way to give back and help locla students be able to start the new school year off on the right foot.
