Vietnam Veteran Gives Blood in his Late Wife’s Honor

DELMARVA – Tonight’s Good News is brought to you in part by Matt the Carpet Guy, coming from the Blood Bank of Delmarva.

George “Skip” Tinsman began donating blood in 1971 after returning from Vietnam. He eventually began regular platelet donations in 1996 when his wife Sally started her chemotherapy treatment. After seeing the impact firsthand, Skip has made it his mission to give back.

Today, Skip has reached an incredible 437 platelet donations- each one honoring his wife’s memory. Thank you Skip for your inspirational life of compassion and dedication.
