UPDATE: Dover Police Make Arrest in Connection with April Shooting that Injured Three

UPDATE: The Dover Police Department has arrested two in connection with an April shooting that injured three.

Police have arrested 23-year-old Deivin Trower of Dover on charges of first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and related gun charges. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correction Institute in lieu of a $175,100 cash bond

Officers obtained warrants for Trower after connecting him with the shooting in the unit block of South Governors Avenue that occurred on Apr. 8. On Jun. 27, the U.S. Marshals Service First State Fugitive Task Force adopted the case in an effort to locate and apprehend Trower. 

A few days later, investigators developed information that Trower was in the Fairway Lakes Drive area of Dover. As responding authorities attempted to take him into custody, Trower fled on foot into a wooded area behind the Wawa on Route 8. An extensive search was conducted, but he was not located.

On Jul. 9, investigators received information that Trower was at a residence in White Oak Apartments in Dover. During surveillance, police say 21-year-old Tionna Harmon of Dover, exited the residence and appeared to act as a lookout. A short time later, Trower exited through a rear window and began walking toward White Oak Road before being apprehended. Trower and Harmon were taken into custody without incident.

Harmon was found to be in possession of a Polymer80 handgun frame believed to belong to Trower, and was charged subsequently charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and hindering prosecution.

Trower was charged with offenses related to the April 8, 2026, shooting. Harmon was charged with offenses related to her actions during Trower’s apprehension and possession of the Polymer80 handgun frame. She was arraigned and released on $4,500 unsecured bond.

 

DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left three injured on Wednesday night.

At 11:15 p.m. on Apr. 8, Officers responded to the unit block of South Governors Avenue following multiple reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a 57-year-old female with graze wounds to her right arm and chest, a 19-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the lower body, and a 41-year-old male with a graze wound to his right arm. The woman and 19-year-old male were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The 41-year-old male reportedly refused medical treatment.

An initial investigation determined that several individuals were involved in a physical altercation in the area. As the altercation was occurring, a suspect described as wearing all black clothing, red shoes, and a camouflage ski mask fired two rounds toward the group. The suspect then fled westbound, and was last seen running northbound through an alley just west of North Governors Avenue.
