St. Francis de Sales to Launch High School this Fall

SALISBURY, Md. – St. Francis de Sales Catholic School has announced plans to begin launching a high school curriculum, starting with a class of freshman year students this fall.

After welcoming ninth graders this fall, the high school will intentionally grow by adding one grade level each year until becoming a complete Pre-K3 through Grade 12 Catholic school. The first graduating senior class would be in Spring 2030.

“For 77 years, St. Francis de Sales Catholic School has been committed to educating the whole child…” said Principal Debra Traum. “Expanding into a high school allows us to continue that mission during some of the most formative years of a young person’s life.”

Alongside the new high school comes a new mascot: the St. Francis Emperors. School leaders say they invited parents and students alike to participate in a school-wide vote, leading to the Emperor Penguin representing the new high school.

Enrollment remains open for students entering ninth grade this fall.
