Snow Hill to Host River Fest – Featuring “Build Your Own Raft” Race

SNOW HILL, Md. – Snow Hill will host their first River Fest on Saturday Jul. 18th at 12pm at Sturgis Park. The event will be kicked off with the Build Your Own Raft Race, which Mandy Gladden, the Executive Director of Snow Hill Area Chamber of Commerce, says inspired the all-day event.

“And it started from that build your own boat raft race.” Said Gladden. “It was such a huge hit and everybody loved it. And they were like, we want to do more. We want to see more, do more things on the river. So that turned into Snow Hill River Fest, which is our all day event here on the river.”

The event will also include live music, children’s activities, along with food and drink vendors. A day planned to be a “splash hit” on the Pocomoke River.
