Princess Anne Man Arrested on Assault, Gun Charges in Crisfield

CRISFIELD, Md. – The Crisfield Police Department arrested a Princess Anne man twice in one night following multiple disturbances at the same location.

Officers arrested 34-year-old Andre Lamont Schoolfield on charges of disorderly conduct, second degree assault, and resisting arrest. He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. Officers arrested Schoolfield a second time hours later, on charges of handgun on person, firearm possession with a prior felony conviction, and related gun crimes. According to court documents obtained by WMDT, Schoolfield is currently is in custody pending a bail hearing on Tuesday, Jul. 21.

At 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Jul. 17, police arrested Schoolfield in connection with a reported assault on South 4th Street. Hours later, around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jul. 18, officers responded to the same location and encountered Schoolfield again. During the second encounter, police observed a handgun fall out of Schoolfield’s waistband. The handgun, which had an altered ID number, was recovered, and Schoolfield was arrested again by Crisfield officers.
